How did I end up here. Don't get me wrong, Memphis is great. The people are nice and food is good. Collectively as a city, the women are the prettiest that I have seen. Now I see why Miss TN is always in the running for Miss America. BUT Memphis ain't PHILLY!!! No matter where you go these, supposed Philly foods places just can not get it right. The bread never measures up. I miss amoroso's, diambrosia... I miss PHILLY!!!
I miss:
The SEPTA bus driver waiting 3 seconds for you to get to the corner. And the people on the bus say, " Well you shoulda been at the corner already'"
When you are in line at the supermarket and the cashier is mad at you for getting in her line. The look in her eye tells you that she's thinking, "That other line is moving faster than this one, why don't you go over there.
Walking around the city and going downtown where all the pretty people lurk. I am sure there is a bouncer waiting at the city hall subway stop. If you don't make the cut you have to go back home.
Going down to Kelly Drive and watching all the sweaty women jogging. I love sweaty women.
The saturday afternoon cooking show block on channel 12.
Northern Liberties, Nicetown, Belle Vista, Norph Philly.

The Russian landlords on the Section 8 program. The accent on those Russian women is so hot!
